“Whatever’s in the water in Buckinghamshire needs pumping into all the other counties!”
Vitoria, EKFB

We kicked off the careers fair season in serious style as students, parents and teachers headed to Stoke Mandeville Stadium in the thousands for Bucks Skills Show 2025. Sponsored by De Soutter, the world’s leading manufacturer of powered tools for surgical procedures, this year’s event was our most interactive yet with 100+ exhibitors pulling out all the stops to inspire the next generation of workers. We’re talking construction digger simulators, CPR demonstrations, VR experiences, food tastings and more.

“The Skills Show was absolutely magical! Over two jam-packed, energizing days, we connected with students about their future careers, discovered their passions, and inspired them to consider a career in food manufacturing… This event is a must for anyone seeking clarity on career pathways and exploring what skills are needed.”
Georgina, Puratos

A skills show relies on brilliant local businesses to give it the desired impact, so we also want to give a huge shout out to our sector sponsors, Lightfoots Solicitors, EKFB, L Lynch, Screen Bucks, Red Helix, Puratos and APM, as well as partner sponsor Buckinghamshire College Group.

“Lightfoots Solicitors is proud to sponsor the Bucks Skills Show, recognising the importance of inspiring young people to explore careers in law and beyond. By engaging with future generations, we aim to encourage ambition, broaden horizons, and foster talent, in Bucks and beyond!”
Jenny, Lightfoots Solicitors

Finally, thank you to the 7,000+ students, parents, carers, teachers and job changers who showed up over the two days to make the most of everything our event had to offer. It’s still as thrilling as ever to meet so many inspiring young people, and hopefully help them on their way to even bigger and better things. (From the conversations we had, there’s not a doubt in our mind).
