Last month saw over 4,700 students from 30 local grammar, non-selective, independent and special schools gather in Stoke Mandeville Stadium, which was chosen for its long history of inclusion, for day one of our annual careers show. The second day saw another 500 job seekers travel down (despite the snow!) to meet employers from 120 local, national and international businesses. Disney, Pinewood Studios, Le Manoir, MK Dons, John Lewis, Amazon… even ITV News Meridian dropped by to broadcast the event.

As well as opportunities to network, visitors were invited to hear 15 guest speakers talk about everything from filming the Peaky Blinders series and teaching the next generation of nurses, to increasing diversity in computing and designing furniture.
