The annual Bucks Skills Show helps young people explore careers and work out how to get there. But 2020 was different: instead of the usual face-to-face format, we streamed live inspirational employers into lessons to show how they use curriculum subjects in their every-day job.

This interactive lesson in Art and Creative Design with Production designer: Duncan Howell.

Duncan is third year module leader in BA (Hons) Design for Stage and Screen (Design for Film and Television) at Nottingham Trent University.

He works supporting and guiding final year students to achieve their best, in preparation for industry. Previously, Duncan has production designed and Art directed children’s television programmes for CBeebies including Teletubbies and In The Night Garden, television dramas including Cutting It, The Forsyte Saga, The Royal, Shameless, Dalziel and Pascoe and Prey and, films including Liam, Sunday, John Lennon and Al’s Lads. Duncan continues to work in the industry to support his teaching, working mainly on ITV drama/soap.
