Rosefield Solar Farm becomes Bucks Skills Hub sponsor

We are delighted to welcome Rosefield Solar Farm as an official sponsor of the Bucks Skills Hub.

In doing so, it has committed to helping shape the future of Buckinghamshire and providing work and training opportunities for local young people and the wider community.

The team at Rosefield had this to say about their sponsorship of Bucks Skills Hub:

"Rosefield Solar Farm is delighted to be joining Buckinghamshire Skills Hub and to be supporting key events across the county, including the Bucks Skills Show and Confident Futures Show. We are particularly looking forward to working with schools to inspire young people to pursue the range of exciting opportunities that careers in renewables offer, and to be part of the move away from fossil fuels and the way we power our lives”.

"If granted planning consent, construction of the solar farm just south of Buckingham is expected to begin from 2029, and it will be one of the largest solar farms in the UK, powering 57,000 homes locally

"It is estimated that there will be an average of 400 people working on site each year over the 30-month construction period. We are committed to making sure that as many local people as possible access jobs and skills opportunities across the 40-year lifetime of the project. Our commitment to this would include an annual education and skills fund, as well as extending into Buckinghamshire our award-winning partnership with colleges across the UK to deliver Destination Renewables - a course for Further Education students to gain insights into all aspects of careers in renewable industries.
