Five must-see National Apprenticeship Week events

How can you be blue when National Apprenticeship Week (NAW) is just around the corner! The sixteenth annual celebration of – you guessed it – apprenticeships is set to take place on 6th-12th February, boasting a programme of over 1,400 virtual and in-person events aimed at students with an interest in a vocational alternative to university.

Now, unless you’ve managed to crack time travel (fancy letting us in on the secret?), attending every webinar, fair and workshop is going to be a tall order. What would be really useful is if someone picked five key events that provide an overview of the experience...

Festival of Apprenticeships | Multiple dates

Who said you can’t prepare for the future from the comfort of your sofa? From discovering opportunities with some of the UK’s biggest companies to guidance on how to apply, Festival of Apprenticeships’ online careers fair is a one-stop shop for any aspiring apprentice.

Psst! If you’d rather experience the event in-person, the Careers Roadshow is coming to London on Thursday 29th June 2023.

Business Showcase | Multiple dates

Bentley? Tick. Network Rail? Tick. PWC? Tick… NAW’s lineup of live webinars features 23 of the boldest names in business, so you can hear first-hand what they’re looking for in an applicant and use the invaluable knowledge to give your CV an edge.

Bucks Skills Hub x Speakers for Schools | 7th & 8th February

We’ve teamed up with Speakers for Schools to host, not one, but two online Q&As with local organisations. The first will focus on Healthcare, Engineering, Manufacturing and Construction (7th February at 18:00), and the second will explore apprenticeships in Computing, Digital and Creative (8th February at 18:00). Register your place here.

Understanding Apprenticeships | 8th February

Despite popular belief, apprenticeships are not just for those wanting to work in manual labour jobs. In fact, there are more than 250 different types of apprenticeship programmes, ranging from accounting to hairdressing. Join STEM Ambassador and former apprentice Amy for Understanding Apprenticeships – a live chat about some of the myths surrounding apprenticeships.
