Interviews can be scarier than your teacher saying ‘cameras on please’ – whether it’s for a job, college, sixth form or university place, this guide will give you handy tips and hints on how to ace it.

It might sound simple but doing your research on the company/institution you are interviewing for will impress them no end. Research the role or course you are applying for an get informed on the latest trends/news around what it is you are applying for.

One way to develop a growth mindset is to ask for feedback from your interviews. This will allow you to see what you done well and what you could improve on for next time. It is also very impressive to employers if you are to take on board constructive feedback positively.

Bring Your Whole Self


Aside from ensuring you are professional and polite - bring your whole self to the interview! Let them see the real you including your unique quirks. Tell them about your passions, interests and dreams and how this relates to the position you’re applying for!
